Connectors
A connector is a saved credential for something outside MFICore: a remote host, a mailbox, a calendar, an API key. You save it once here, and your site workflows' nodes refer to it by name, so a host or a secret is never typed into a workflow.
Secrets are stored securely and are never shown again after you save. To change one, edit the connector and enter the new value; leaving a secret field blank keeps the saved one.
Adding one
Choose + New connector, pick the kind, and fill in the fields. Test connection checks the settings against the real service before you save. The kinds are:
- SSH — run commands on a remote host and read files back. You can have MFICore generate a key pair for you: it keeps the private key and shows you the public key to add to the host's
authorized_keys. Running commands is off until you allow it on the connector. - SFTP — upload and download files on a remote host.
- IMAP, CalDAV and CardDAV — read mail, and read or write calendar events and contacts.
- TMDB and Plex — look up films and shows, and check or refresh a Plex library.
- Brokerage — a paper or live trading account. Paper is the default, and live money needs an explicit acknowledgement.
- HTTP API key — a base address and a secret for an API your workflows call.
- Vultr, Contabo and CyberGhost — hosting accounts and a VPN account.
- Resemble.ai — a voice for the assistant's spoken replies.
Using one in a workflow
A workflow node's account picker lists your connectors. Better still, point the node at an account variable (Automation → Variables): then moving a workflow from a test account to a live one is a single edit.
A workflow can only use the site owner's connectors.
Changing and deleting
Open a connector with Edit to change it. Delete is at the bottom of that dialog, not on the list, and any workflow that referenced the connector will stop working until you point it at another.
You can also share your connectors with another person or team without handing over the secrets: see Account → Delegation.
