Site access: people, teams and the audit trail

Access decides who can manage a site. It is separate from Members (who can sign in through the site's own login).

People and teams

Give access to a person or to a whole team. Each grant is either a role (Maintainer or Member) per area of the site, or a fine-grained set of capabilities, so a team can create forms but not delete them. The effective access is the highest across everything that applies, and a team's access never exceeds the member's own role in that team.

The site's owner always has full access.

Hierarchy

The hierarchy view shows how people and teams reach the site, so you can see why someone has the access they do.

Audit

Every change to access is recorded: who granted or revoked what, and when. Search it by team, username or email.
